Me and Santa are like 2 peas in a pod

First, lets discuss this nonsense that I would freak out upon seeing Santa...For the record, I did not...so all you poll people who thought I would can kiss it. I will say though, that I was a bit apprehensive. I did not cry, but I did not smile either. I mean, the guy is huge, for one thing. He also has massive amounts of white hair and he wear gloves and red a suit. Who dresses this man anyway. Santa was a true professional during our photo session. He aloud me to take center stage and be the true focus of all the attention, which let's face it...is my primary objective at all times. You can view my session at http://www.somethingbeautifulstudio.com/. Got to Client Proofing and the pass word is johnsonsanta.

Have I told you that both my parents have been sick with the crud. My Dad got it first and now my mommy has it. These two have exhausted me. I have had to fend for myself because I do not want to get any of the germs those two are passing back and forth. Actually, my Granmama and Pop have been here for the last week and they have helped me with sick and sicker. My Granmama taught me ring around the posey and I fall down when I am supposed to. This apparently is a big deal to everyone because they clap and cheer when I do this. My Pop tells me secrets every morning. My Dad will be changing my diaper and Pop comes in and whispers something in my ear and we laugh. It is good times people!

I love food. I really do! I have found that the culinary skills of Gerber and my taste buds get along famously. I am eating cereal in the morning, half a jar of food and half a jar fruit in the afternoon and at night time I get what I had for lunch and vegetables. The combinations they have put together are really good too. Who knew that sweet potatoes and turkey would be so good and the fruit combos are fantastic. I am also drinking water and white grape juice. I really like the water. I am hoping to maybe try a sippy cup this weekend while my Dad watches Alabama beat the crap out of LSU. Sorry for the language, but I am very passionate about Alabama Football!!

I have attached some photos of me at Halloween for your enjoyment! I was a bunny!! I know, really scary! I requested to be dressed like Hannah Montana, but my Mom and Dad said no! So, instead they put me in the hottest costume known to man. The thing was all fur all the time. I was really hot and then they put me in front of all these pumpkins and took my picture! We all know I love a photo session, but not under these extreme conditions. The things I go through...I swear!

I am really excited to tell you that we are hosting the Johnson-O'Dell Thanksgiving this year at my house. This should be great with a bunch of my cousins and aunts and uncles coming to stare at me and lavish me with attention. I hope my Dad doesn't burn the turkey. He and Mom have already planned the menu and I think I will be trying Mashed Potatoes at the table with everyone else!! I am so excited! These are my two biggest things coming together...Food and Unwavering attention...Life is good for MM.

I will write when I can...send me your comments. Love MM

Mary Michael's 6 month check-up

I know the suspense has been killing you all...I weighed in at a healthy 22.2 pounds yesterday at the doctor. Mom and Dad think the scale is wrong, but I do not! I have been growing a lot lately and am starting to thin out. I was 27 1/2 inches long...so there!

Lets discuss my doctor visit yesterday...I am sitting there with my Mom and Dad and this guy comes in. He looks vaguely familiar and I think...I know this guy...but from where. Then it hits me...whenever I see this guy, I get shots. I must scream the minute he touches me. I will not be poked and prodded yet again. I scream and when I say I screamed, I mean it. He is relentless. My screams do not deter him...I am frustrated at his sheer will to give me a shot. I relent and sit back and take a bottle and a nap. Screaming at the top of my lungs is very hard on a girl. I am asleep in my Dad's arms and begin to drift off into a lazy slumber...when WHAM, this lady, out of no where, sticks me. Now I am pissed. She proceeds to stick 3 more times and I have had enough! What gives?! I am sleeping, not bothering anyone and this is how they treat me...Heads will roll, Gifts will be bought because I will remember and when I am 16 I will tell my Dad...Remember when I was little and I was asleep and you let that nurse give me 4 shots...and the next day a new car will be in my driveway. Mommy and Daddy also got the flu shot. I got one of those too...I apparently have to go back in a month and have another flu shot thingie...I might get a convertible after all!!!!

I also need to discuss this Santa person. I am having a photo session with him next Tuesday. I usually don't work with people I don't know, but this guy is a big deal, so I though I would try it out. My Mom is convinced that I am not going to care for this guy and is making my Dad rent a Santa costume to wear around the house a couple of days before the photo session. I think this is going to be the funniest thing I have ever seen. My Dad, dressed in a Santa suit, watching football on Saturday. I am laughing out loud as I type this...I am not sure what my Mom has in mind, but I think Dad should wear it all day Saturday-Mon. I think he should cut the grass, cook, watch football with his buddies...all in his Santa Costume. I CANNOT wait...this story is going to kill when I go to school in like, 2 years. I of course will send a picture of me and this guy and I will update you as to my thoughts about his professionalism during our shoot.

Sunday was an interesting Day for us...Mom, Dad, Chloe and I went for a walk. It was nice...I like for the neighbors to look at me...remember I love an audience. Chloe is on her leash when this other female dog comes out of nowhere and tries to beat up my dog. I was scared...Chloe has never been in a fight. My Dad gets the other dog off of Chloe and we finish our walk. Chloe had to go to the vet on Monday though and have a nail taken off of her paw...Everyone in this family got a shot of some kind yesterday. We were all looking a worn out yesterday. Chloe is fine though. She has a bandage on her foot that has to stay on there for 5 days and my Grammie Johnson is taking care of us both today.

I hope everyone has a good week...Love, MM

Daily thoughts with Mary Michael

Good afternoon and I hope everyone is well. Me, I am doing great...just relaxing and taking it easy. I watched the ball game this Saturday with my Dad and Uncle Jud, although I slept through most of it...boring game! It was not a pretty win, but a win nonetheless...Roll Tide!!

My Mommy has been working her behind off lately. She was on call last week and apparently had several emergencies that had to be addressed immediately. My Mom is a very important lady...I have missed her and was glad when she got home today at noon to play with me.

I tried pears on Saturday and did not care for them and made an irritated face. Fruit, so far, is the only thing I am not devouring. I am thinking I will like apple sauce and we may try that later in the week...I will let you know later if I approve or not.

Can we talk about tongues! I recently discovered mine and find it fascinating. I like to stick it out when I am jumping or when I am concentrating very hard. My Mom and Dad say I look like Michael Jordan...whatever. My Dad picked me up last night while they were trying to put me to sleep and when he did...I just smiled and stuck my tongue out at him. I wanted him to know that I was in charge and that I would let him know when I was ready for bed. It apparently worked because he started laughing...These two are amazed at anything I do. All I have to do is stick my tongue out and they start laughing...suckers. I have them wrapped around my fingers!!!

Mommy tried to buy me shoes today. I told her to wait until I could go with her and try them on, so we might go later...I don't know why I need shoes...my feet are fine just they way they are and besides I like to eat my feet occasionally.

I forgot to tell you all that I went to the park yesterday. All the other kids loved me and some where mesmerized by my beauty and size...HAHA! Anyway I got in the swing and Mommy and Daddy pushed me. They were a little apprehensive, so they didn't push me too far, but I enjoyed it. We also walked around the park with my friend Cash. Cash is in love with me! I don't pay attention to him...he tried to eat me feet yesterday...what a player!!!

I go to the doctor on October 13...I will update with weight and measurements...Love MM

Mary Michael wants to get things off her chest

Hello and Roll Tide! My team is looking good this year, watch out Bull Dogs! I unfortunately do not have a picture of me in my Roll Tide Dress, but I will get one made soon...and send it to everyone...including obnoxious Auburn fans!! HAHA...Take that. I have recently been introduced to joys of College Football by my father. He sets me in the den in my Bumbo Seat and we watch the games together. He usually is sitting in the floor with me with a cooler by his side...I am only kidding...he has a a "special bottle" he drinks from. He even made Rotel dip and tried to give me some...I swear the man is crazy...he is already embarrassing me!!

I have lots to tell you all since my last update...First, lets talk about these teeth! I have 2 bottom teeth and 2 upper ones that are almost through my gums. My bottom ones are sharp and I love to chew on my mom and Granmamma's fingers...it is sweet relief! The 2 on top are still trying to come through and they continue to hurt, but I am a tough little girl and have not been all that fussy. I am actually pretty damn happy!! I love it when people look at me and pay me attention! Why just the other day, I had Mom, Dad, Granmamma and Pop all staring at me when I woke up. I kinda thought it was weird that grown adults would stare at me while I was sleeping, but I flashed them a smile when I saw them anyway and they were satisfied!

Lets also discuss food! Some of you may be able to tell that I am a Healthy girl. I am guessing that my weight currently hovers around the 21 pound mark. I have found that I relish the culinary delights of Gerber!! What they can do with squash, sweet potatoes and carrots is pure magic, and don't get me started on peas!!! I love to eat all of those and I am going to try something called green beans this weekend! I am also in negotiations with my Mom to have steak...I have teeth for petes sake, I should have a fillet!

Well, I have also spent a lot of time on my new deck watching the trees and enjoying the nice fall weather. I think Fall is my favorite season so far. I was a little hesitant to go outside on the deck, because my Dad, both grandpa's and my Uncle Jud built this thing. I trust the construction skills of everyone involved, but do question my Dad's ability to hammer something, let alone build a deck. I will give them credit though, and say that they did a job well done. I have lots more room to play and we got new furniture for outside too. I love to sit on the lounge chairs and read and drink a cocktail...it is heaven!

You may have noticed new beach photos. I felt that when I first went to the beach, I was far to young to truly appreciate its beauty and, for it to appreciate mine!! I also was not satisfied with my first beach photo session and DEMANDED a re-shoot. As you can see by the photos on the side, I was able to work the camera much better to my advantage!! I may use them on Christmas Cards...you'll have to wait and see if I send you one or not...Speaking of Christmas...I would love a bunch of boxes...I am very enthralled by them right now...

I would like to encourage all who read about my exploits to comment...I love hearing from all my fans...love, MM

Greetings and I hope you all are having a good day. It has been a while since my Dad posted anything. He says that he has been busy with work and then building a deck...I think it has to do with my hard nosed contract negotiations. I have been doing great this past 2 weeks. As you know, I went to the Doctor and he said I was perfect...DUH. I have been eating this cereal stuff pretty good, but I am ready for a change...so I think Mom and Dad are finally let me have some squash this weekend!!! I would rather have candy bar, but they apparently are going to listen to the doctor. I will let you all know how the squash thing goes. I recently began eating in my high chair...it's not all that its cracked up to be. I much prefer laying there while food is put In front of me. With this high chair, I have to hold my head up and it weighs a good bit. My Mommy and Daddy and I are going to the beach in a couple of weeks...I am so excited because I sleep really well and tan all day!!! My Dad has a conference and my Grandparents are going with us....Grammie Johnson better watch out because I am going to make her get in the pool with me. I wonder if they have Cabana Boys where we are staying...My Granmamma and Pop are supposed to be coming today...I can't wait. My Pop is going to help my Dad with the rails or something. FYI...Dad and Grandpa Jim have built they biggest Deck known to man...I have lots of room to play. I just thought I would say...whats up!!!

Mary Michael visits the Doctor

Greetings and I hope everyone is doing well. I went to the doctor on Monday and well, I may have to go on a diet! I am 4 months old and weight 19.6 pounds! To say that I am healthy is an understatement. Dr. Ayers walked and in and said, "I think we have a baby Buddha." I told him that it was not nice to discuss a girls weight...that shut him up!! I am also very tall...I measured 26.5 inches long. I scored in the 95th percentile in all my subjects; foreshadowing grades to come. I also got shots. I hate them. They hurt. I wish these teeth would hurry and come in...they are killing me and that with the shots, was sensory overload. I have to fight off Chloe with a stick now when I get fed. As I stated in earlier post, she likes my cereal...now she sits by Mom and Dad when they feed me and just stares...I told her to back off the other day!!! I am for sharing, but I do have my limits. Yesterday my Mom and I had the day to ourselves. Mommy had taken of work and it was great. My Dad is building on to our deck this weekend...I may never go on the thing again...just kidding. Hope you all have a good week...MM

Friday Update

All I can say is Thank God it is Friday! I love the weekends and both parents are home with me! I keep trying to get Mommy to watch the Lifetime Movie Channel with me all day on Sunday's! I love to sit and watch movies and they have some major drama happening on those shows. Dad says that I am not aloud to watch those shows...he would rather watch the news...snore! Anyway, I was really good last night and went down at 7:00...I have to have my beauty sleep. I awoke around 2:00 and Mommy fed me and then I went back down...drinking a bottle in the middle of the night out of nowhere is hard work! I got up this morning and Grammie and my Dad fed me cereal...I am telling you people, it is good stuff! So Dad and Grandpa and Uncle Jud are putting a new door in at Grammie and Grandpa's house...I think I am going to skip that fiasco...My Dad and power tools are not a good mix! Mommy and I may watch Lifetime after all!!! Hope you all have a good weekend and I'll talk to you one day next week...MM

An update from Mary Michael

I thougt I would start things off with an update of things going on with me. I have been eating cereal for 2 weeks now and I have to say that I love it. I eat some in the morning and then a little bit more later in the afternoon. It is really good and Chloe seems to like it as well. I also have some teeth that are trying to come through my gums and they hurt. They have been trying to come through for 3 weeks already...I am able to produce so much slobber it is not even funny. I have also recently discovered the joys of Barney. That purple dinosaur is crazy and has a voice like velvet! I am guessing that I weigh roughly 18 pounds...I go to the doctor on the 15 of this month and I am sure they are going to weigh me again. I am also preparing for my second round of shots...not fun!! I must say that I did not enjoy the first round of shots and am thinking round 2 is not going to be any different. I have requested that Mommy stay home with me on Tuesday to soothe and comfort me. My Granmama and Pop just left and I had so much fun with them. My Granmama is crazy...she danced for me and likes to play with me. My Pop likes to stare at me in amazement. I think it is due to my overwhelming beauty. My Grammie is staying with me now and she also dances...what is it with Grandmothers! Grammie likes to read to me and my Grandpa is visiting today. I am very excited because I like to stare at his mustache or as my Dad calls is fu-man-chew. I almost forgot to tell you that my Bouncy seat rules! I have completely mastered the thing. I f bouncy seats were in the Olympics, I would be wearing gold around my neck right now...that's all I'm saying. I will update you as much as I can...MM
